Sariaya, Quezon, April 1, Holy Thursday, 4:03pm- On the 12th day of our 60-day Island Travel adventure, we experienced an incident that would definitely change many of our plans for summer...a vehicular accident.
The day was spent going around the towns of Laguna and Quezon provinces for the traditional Visita Iglesias or church visits. We were on our way back to San Pablo City from Lucban, Quezon when the incident happened.
Details cannot be divulged at the moment. But suffice to say for now that except for the car, the whole family escaped unscathed. We are basically grounded in the next few days and the travel plans to Batangas and to Central and Northern Luzon are put on hold.
We shall soon make announcements about our plans as well as decisions about our commitments related to this Island Travel blog and its contests and promos.
We apologize for the infrequent updates in the next days, but we hope that it'll just be a temporary setback.
We'll keep you posted.

Sorry to hear about the accident, but thankful the family's intact.
Bless that none of you have been hurt.
O my! hope everything will be okay soon especially for the car.
I agree with Josie, its a good thing even that god was looking after you when the incident happend
take care and god bless
Sad to know about that unwelcome turn of events. But thanks be to God that you and your family were not hurt, and that's the most important. I'm pretty sure your car has its own damage insurance and that it will be repaired soon.
I do hope the incident is not traumatic enough as to prevent you to take on the road again, travel and enjoy the beautiful scenery and places in the Philippines-- and for you to share your travel experiences in this wonderful blog.
thank God you're all safe...dyuls :-)
God is so good nothing bad happened to the family, manfred and i were talking about you and your travels, kaya pala he was nagging me about showing to him your blog site.
@josie, Mike, Weekend Haven, dyuls- yes, we're very thankful that the family is safe...that's what matters most. Thanks for your concern.
@ethan- unfortunately the car repair is delayed due to some snags with parties involved. Thanks for your concern about our family :)
@Eli- our desire to travel is not diminished. What's holding us from proceeding is the car and the need to be near Quezon to facilitate resolution about the accident.
Thanks for encouraging us to continue with our road trip and blogging. We'll make the most of what we have now.
@jo- thanks for the visit and your concern. Best regards to Manfred and your school boy.
Good that you're all safe... yes, it will slow you down a bit, but don't be discouraged, and continue on with your journey --- as you have said, you want to invest on experience, and this incident would be a part of that experience...
We appreciate your encouraging words Pearl. Thanks for reminding us about investing on experience and indeed since we're all safe, we cannot ask for more but to be patient and remain focus on the positive on all that happened.
Cheers!
